How to create an account, sign in and set the app language. Dieter is free to start with, and you can pick a higher plan whenever you like.
The welcome screen gives you three ways in:
With Google and Apple you don't set a password or confirm your address, because Google or Apple does that for you. The first tap creates your account, every tap after that signs you in.
The question How did you hear about us? is optional. Your answer helps us decide where it's worth talking about Dieter, but you can skip it.
After you sign up with email, we send you an activation link. Click it before you sign in: until your address is confirmed, signing in won't work. The link is valid for 24 hours.
Can't see the email? Check your spam folder. You can also sign up again with the same address and we'll send the link once more.
Your password needs at least 8 characters, including an uppercase letter, a lowercase letter, a digit and a special character.
On the sign-in screen, tap Forgot password? and enter your email address. We'll send you a link to set a new password, valid for one hour. Once you change your password, you'll be signed out on all your devices.
If you sign in with Google or Apple, your account has no password. If you ever need one, you can set it the same way.
Dieter speaks 17 languages. You can change the language in the More tab, under Preferences → App language. Before you sign in, the language switch is in the top right corner of the screen.
The app language also decides what you see in the plan library and the recipe base: by default we show content in your language. In the filters you can pick another language or all of them at once.
In the same place you can set Unit preference (metric or imperial) and Currency.
The tabs at the bottom of the screen are:
You can check your plan in the More tab → My plan. There you'll see your limits, how much of each you're using and what a higher plan unlocks. The full comparison is on the plan comparison page.
A free account gives you the library of ready-made plans, recipes, the calorie calculator, the active plan, shopping lists and one group.
